Story - Car Struck (3rd pass)
- Guy walks over to his car .
- Puts his car key.
- Twist & turn but still stuck.
- He gets slightly frustrated.
- Tries again to twist and turn the key door handle with more force but still stuck.
- Holding the handle and using his legs to put on the car door, put the handle but fail.
- Frustrated looking at the car and walk off screen.
- Walk in with a crow bar.
- Jack it in on the side of the door.
- Push the bar to force the door open.
- Using all his might as he climbs on the car.
- Loses his grip on the bar.
- "Bounce off" and hit his face which lands him on the floor.
- Got up, feeling extremely frustrated.
- Walks off screen.
- Walk in with a toll truck's toll hook.
- Guy hook it on the car door.
- Gives the signal for the toll truck to move(off screen)
- Guy anticipate the door to open
- Door fly towards the guy.
- Guy got hit by car door.
- Both the car door and guy fly off screen
- Other side of the door opens.

- Tries again to twist and turn the key door handle with more force but still stuck.(He tries twisting the keys again with more force)

- (He gets more frustrated)
- Holding the handle and using his legs to put on the car door, put the handle but fail. (He jumps onto the car door and tries to pull the key out)
- Frustrated looking at the car and walk off screen.

ReplyDeleteI have made some language changes to your story and also added some additional story beats for you. Up to the point of the last bracket, I have not checked any further. Because if I would to check it any further, I would be doing the work for you. Please check on your storybeats yourself and ensure that it is the absolute final before emailing me again. Let's try to get this out before end of the week.
English aside, personally I still prefer a gag where the car got dragged, hit him, stops, and door open on the other side.
ReplyDeleteReason being, the whole gag is that the door just refuse to open no matter what he does. i.e, door vs man. If the door gets rip off, that means the door lose the fight to the man.
But what you are intending on showing is, door wins the man. Thus, I think it will be better that we keep the door to the car the entire time.
